This ornament reminds me of the cookie pressed pine trees that were a Christmas staple around my house as a kid. Every winter what seemed like thousands of little spritz cookie trees were made and and eaten with equal amounts of joy.
A heavy reliance on felt or fabric glue makes this a great kids project that can be put together in a matter of minutes.
You will need:
Materials
- Freezer paper (alternatively you could use Andie’s method for cutting small felt shapes)
- Wool felt: red, light green, green, brown, and aqua
- Pinking shears
- Fabric glue
- Baker’s twine
