Add an air of icy elegance to your Christmas tree this year with this easy felt icicle ornament pattern. These icicles sparkle  reflecting the warm glow of the lights on your tree thanks to a few well placed sequins and a little felt glue. These frozen felt ornaments  make a lovely addition to any tree, wreath or simply hung from varying heights throughout the tree. Crafted from wool blend felt and glittering sequins these felt Christmas Ornaments deserve a spot on your “to craft” list this season.

You will need:

Felt in pale blue Sparrow and White *

Stuffing

Dark Green Embroidery Thread

Felt Glue

Sequins I used Opaque Crystal and Snow White

*Matching Thread

Cut felt icicle shapes from felt following the pattern below, you will need 2 per Christmas ornament.

Sew along sides of the felt icicle stuffing as you sew.

Felt Icicle Free Christmas Pattern

Glue Sequins in place and thread embroidery thread through top for easy hanging on your Christmas tree.

DIY Felt Bookmark tutorial - branching coral

Attaching sequins to felt has become a borderline obsession over here and what can I say I am a sucker for a theme!

Continuing our ocean theme – a lovely branched sea coral bookmark with sequin accents.

Diy branching coral bookmark from felt.

This stylish branching coral bookmark is sewn entirely by hand. Making it a great take along project.

The Coral sequins are a fiery accent over this lavish orange pink felt background.

It’s what all the fashionable books will be wearing this summer!

You will need:

 9″ x 12″ sheet of felt I used Amaranth Pink

Sequins, I used Coral

Matching thread

Cut out 2 of the coral shapes (template at the end of post)

Attach Sequins to felt coral shape.

Outline the areas where you plan to attach sequins this will help keep your lines straight.

Attach sequins for help on how to do this see our post on attaching sequins.

Sew sides of felt coral shape together

Then simply overcast stitch both coral pieces together. Easy peasy and oh so fab!

Sequined Snowmen Felt Christmas Ornament Tutorial

These last tutorials are too late for this year’s Christmas  but  I couldn’t bear to shelve them for a whole year.

Just look at that chubby snowman face and try telling him no.

*sigh

Felt ornament tutorial and template Sequined snowmen.

These chubby little felt snowmen are sure to melt any heart and brighten up any tree.

DIY felt snowman ornament tutorial

You will need:

Per Snowman TEMPLATE (at the end of this post)

5″ x 7″ scrap  White felt  

2- 1″ x 2″ scraps for hat I used Lipstick, PeacockLemon Meringue,  Key Lime PieRoyal Purple and Hot Pink

Tiny scrap for nose Orange Juice

Heart Felt Button

Black embroidery thread

Matching Thread

Sequins I used:

Classic Red

Hot Pink

Coral

Grape Soda

Buttercup

Cut

2 Snowman bodies from white felt

1 set of hat stripes and 1 hat shape from a contrasting color

1 snowman nose from orange felt.

And now the magic begins

Put one of the 2 felt snowmen bodies off to the side, this will be his back.

hat stripes from felt

Stitch stripes down to hat base. Add sequin to end.

Stitch down the hat and  heart shape with coordinating thread.

 Sandwich ribbon or cord between snowman front and the blank back piece if desired.

Overcast stitch front and back pieces together.
