Christmas is nearly here and lets face it you can probably use a few minutes and your little cherubs creating a handmade gift for the Grandparents wouldn’t hurt either right? Just Mommies to the rescue with this fast, easy, felt ornament even kids can make.

What You’ll Need

• Cookie cutters
• Felt
• Embroidery floss
• Scissors
• Needle (with large eye)
• Marker

25 days of Felt Christmas Crafts Day 22: Dutch Hearts

You know the Shtick…25 days 25 felt Christmas crafts and away we go!

You know your going to need some help setting up all those complex toys at 2:00am, butter up Santa’s helper this year with one of these sweet  Pennsylvania Dutch inspired heart ornaments. “See how much I love you? Now just finish that assembling that third bike, you don’t need me here right. I mean one of us should get some sleep, Goodnight Sweetheart.”

You will need:

• Applique pattern
• Tracing paper
• 3 5-x-7-inch pieces of red felt
• 3 5-x-7-inch pieces of white felt
• Dressmaker’s tracing paper
• Sewing thread: red and white
• Sharp embroidery Scissors that cut to a point
• Pinking shears
• 9-inch lengths of red and white braid

What do you get for that person who has everything? Who cares as long as it’s topped with one of these!

Add some texture to this years gifts with a felt gift bow or just avoid those horrible lines when you run out of the sticky plastic kind, I’m not judging!

It’s super easy and can be whipped up in less time than it takes to put on all that winter gear.

25 days of Felt Christmas Crafts Day 6 easy felt wreath

Few things say Christmas crafting as much as felt. Felt is a perfect medium for nearly every Christmas project.

Lest you doubt this AFC will be featuring free felt Christmas crafts and templates from the blogosphere for the next 25 days.

Everyone knows it’s not Christmas without a wreath or two.

This whimsical wreath comes for Joanne Fabric and Craft.

• Supplies & Tools:
• Styrofoam® brand wreath form
• Felt squares, 8 each: 3 shades of green, 3 red felt squares (I assume they mean 9″x12″ sheets since they are pretty standard)
• Thread
• Needle
• Ribbon
• Corsage pins, 1 box each: crystal head, pearl head
• Scissors
• Optional: Rotary cutter & mat, pinking shears.
