How fun are these funky 70s style feather ornaments?
Inspired by a sunny 1970s orange aesthetic they definitely bring happy vibes. Of course they can be done in nearly any color (see the peacock set below) but I think the orange / yellow / gold combo feels true to the retro feel. If vintage is your vibe check out this no sew DIY felt ornament pattern. Since most of the “work” is cutting and gluing these make a great ornament for kids crafts too!

These feather ornaments look great in any color and can be attached to a gift for fun handmade touch.

You will need: makes at least 6 depending on your number of color choices
9″ x 12″ sheet felt in each color you plan to use I used:
Banana Cream Pie, Mustard Seed , Tangerine, Gold Glitter Felt, Beet, Monarch Butterfly
Felt or fabric glue, tacky glue etc.
Ribbon or cord for hanging
(optional) Sequins Just Peachy
Cut:
Cut one of each shape per ornament

When gluing make sure to go all the way around the shape so it holds tightly.

Cut lines into largest (bottom shape) Cut into the shag at angles to create gaps. Glue down remaining felt feather shapes in order from largest to smallest.

Glue sequin to bottom of smallest feather shape. Glue ribbon or sew a loop through back of the ornament to create a loop for hanging.
