
Felt ornaments are more than just a great way to decorate your home for the holidays they also make amazing handmade memories for your friends and family for holidays to come. I never get tired of creating customized DIY felt ornaments, not only can these little sewing projects be crafted up in a single afternoon but the ability to personalize them is limitless. Making each one a unique and personal gift.
In the spirit of happy memories these 3 little birds are a sweet reminder that every little thing is going to be alright. The pattern for these 3 little birds in with a sunny 70s orange aesthetic can also be done in pastels, or neons or just about any color that makes your heart happy.

You will need:
Felt for each bird body (Egg Yolk, Auburn, Mustard, Sweet Potato, Saddle Brown, Monarch Butterfly) *
Felt for each bird tail ( Mustard, Sweet Potato, Saddle Brown) *
Felt for each bird wing (Egg Yolk, Auburn, Saddle Brown) *
Scrap felt for feet, beak and eye (Saddle Brown) *
Stuffing
Felt or fabric glue (optional)
*Matching thread

Cut:
For each bird – 2 bird bodies, 1 bird tail and one wing.
Cut one each of eye, beak and feet from brown felt.
Instructions

Sew tail to front of bird body, sew wing down along tail with a running stitch and matching thread.

Sew eye, beak and feet into place with a few stitches and matching thread or glue with fabric glue down.

Sew body pieces together with an overcast stitch and matching thread.

Stuff lightly before closing. Sew a loop through to hang.
