DIY Felt Peppermint Ornament
Deck your halls with sweet peppermint felt ornaments. These 3″ mints are simple to assemble and make a big impact on any tree in fact you can bypass all of the sewing and just use glue making this a kid friendly ornament crafting option.
You will need:
White* felt or 3″ Felt Circles
Red felt* I used Poinsettia
Sequins I used Diamond
Peppermint template Peppermint Ornament or see end of post
Felt glue or hot glue
String or ribbon for hanging
Sewing Needle
*Matching Thread
Cut 2 circles and 2 wrapper ends from white felt, cut 1 swirl from red felt.
Sew swirl to one of the red circles with a running stitch and matching thread.
Sew sequins into place along the center of the white areas. For help on sewing sequins see this post.
Stitch three lines down the wrapper ends as shown. Use these to attach the sides to the second circle. Sew loop to center.
Place circles together. Over cast stitch around the circles to hold. Switch to the running stitch over the wrapper ends and loop.
