DIY Felt Llama Christmas Ornaments
Bring the llama trend to your tree with a herd of adorable little felt llamas. These cute DIY felt llama ornaments are easily customized to suit your holiday theme or colors and make a great group crafting activity.
Use some to spruce up your spruce or accent your gifts with a one of a kind DIY keepsake llama ornament they are sure to love.
You will need:

3″ x 3″ felt for llama blanket I used Fire Engine Red, Four Leaf Clover and prints from the Wrapping Paper Collection*
4″ x 6″ felt for llama I used White , Grey, Chai and Brownie *
4″ x 2″ Brown felt for legs – I used Peanut Butter and Toffee
Embroidery thread in black and metallic gold
Felt Glue (optional)
Sequins; I used Diamond, Red, and Holly
String or cord for hanging
Stuffing
Sewing Needle
*Matching Thread
Cut out one blanket shape. To create fringe cut small slits along the bottom (rounded edge) Cut away every other notch as shown below.
Cut 2 llama shapes and one of each leg and muzzle from desired felt colors
Sew blanket down with matching thread and accent the ends with a few stitches of embroidery thread.
Add any sequins or details to blanket. See photo below for a closer look at the blanket styles I used for creating these llama ornaments.
Create an eye with a french knot, sew muzzle down.
Add legs to bottom of the lama Christmas ornaments with a running stitch and matching thread.
Sew llama shapes together with an overcast stitch and matching thread.
