The color of the year for 2012 is Tangerine Tango!
Big Apple, Lipstick, Tangerine
I am not really sure how this applies to anything that might have to do with my real life but hey any chance to celebrate color and I am in.
I know what your thinking…is there a similar color available in felt. I cannot bear for my felt projects to be unfashionable.

Tangerine is closet, and I bet is even closer when wet. 😀 What I’d do is use the tangerine as a base and needle felt some big apple into it to get the tangerine tango color; though maybe the other way round would be closer.
I’mgoing with “Big Apple” but it really matters what other color you put with the choices.

I think Tangerine would be the closest, not exact but close. You didn’t mention it but your Mandarin 100% wool might be close too.

I agree with the idea that tangerine is closest but really it’d be like a mixture of tangerine and Big Apple. or maybe a mix of all 3! It’s sort of an unusual color they chose, but pretty!

I think tangerine better captures the orange tone but I do agree that Big Apple is a closer match.

Tangerine may or may not be the closest color…BUT it IS the happiest color, and in my opinion, captures the essence and emotion of Tangerine Tango!

Well, I think if you were to needle felt the Tangerine onto Big Apple, you have just about a perfect match. But since that’s not an option, I’ll go with tangerine.

It is actually a meld of Big Apple and Lipstick with a dash of Tangerine. If I had to pick just 1 I would say Big Apple.

None of them look the same but I would pick Tangerine. I agree that Tango has more red than the tangerine felt. Orange is my favourite colour; tangerines are orange.

My choice would be “none of the above”. Or 50% each Big Apple & Tangerine– the Tangerine Tango looks like it would be half-way between the two in terms of both value and hue.
